Each service has its own duration, price, and which therapists can perform it. Availability is calculated automatically for each combination.

Buffer Time Between Treatments

Between appointments, a therapist typically needs 10–15 minutes to change linens, wash hands, and prepare for the next client. BookPoint lets you set a "buffer after" time per service. If a 60-minute massage has a 15-minute buffer, the next appointment can't start until 75 minutes after the previous one began — regardless of what a client tries to book online.

Multi-Therapist Room Scheduling

If your practice has multiple therapists sharing rooms/tables, BookPoint tracks both therapist availability and room availability independently. When a client books a Swedish massage with a specific therapist, the system:

1. Checks that therapist's working hours and existing bookings.
2. Checks that an available treatment room exists for that time slot.
3. Blocks both the therapist and the room for the duration + buffer.

No double-bookings. No therapist conflicts.

Automated Reminders That Reduce Late Cancellations

Most massage therapists experience late cancellations because clients genuinely forget. A reminder 24 hours before — and another 2 hours before — dramatically reduces this. BookPoint sends these automatically via email, SMS and WhatsApp on all plans.

Client Notes and Intake Information

The booking form can include custom fields for client intake information: preferred pressure, areas to avoid, health conditions to note. This information is stored against the booking and visible to the therapist in their dashboard view before the session.

Can clients book a specific therapist, or is it assigned automatically?

Both options are available. You can allow clients to choose their preferred therapist from the booking page, or enable automatic assignment (BookPoint will assign the next available therapist who performs the requested service).

Can I require deposits for longer treatments?

You can toggle online payment on/off per service (Starter+). Per-service configurable deposit amounts (partial %) are coming soon — this will allow requiring only a €20 deposit for a 90-minute treatment while keeping shorter bookings free of upfront payment.
